Nous viendrons vous chercher à votre hôtel à 9 heures, pour vous amener en bus jusqu’au nord de Dakar. Vous quitterez la capitale du Sénégal et après une heure et demie de trajet, vous découvrirez la dernière étape du rallye Paris-Dakar.
Après avoir été éblouis par les eaux roses du lac Retba, surnommé le lac rose, vous vous arrêterez pour monter dans un véhicule tout-terrain afin d’explorer ce paysage naturel si particulier, séparé de l’océan par des dunes de sable. Spectaculaire !
Le long de l’itinéraire en 4×4, vous comprendrez vite quelle est l’activité principale du lac : l’exploitation du sel, extrait de ses eaux depuis des années. Cela explique pourquoi le lac acquiert cette couleur si particulière lorsque le soleil atteint le zénith. La quantité de sel y est 10 fois supérieure à celle de la mer !
Lorsque vous descendrez du véhicule tout-terrain, si vous disposez du temps suffisant, vous pourrez même vous baigner dans le lac rose pendant 15 minutes, une expérience véritablement inoubliable. Voyons voir qui osera tenter l’aventure ! La visite privée se terminera de retour à Dakar.

Airport transfers are not included in the price of this tour, however you can book for an arrival transfer in advance. In this case a tour operator representative will be at the airport to greet you. To arrange this please contact our customer service team once you have a confirmed booking.
Day 1 of this tour is an arrivals day, which gives you a chance to settle into your hotel and explore Los Angeles. The only planned activity for this day is an evening welcome meeting at 7pm, where you can get to know your guides and fellow travellers. Please be aware that the meeting point is subject to change until your final documents are released.
Your tour will conclude in San Francisco on Day 8 of the trip. There are no activities planned for this day so you're free to depart at any time. We highly recommend booking post-accommodation to give yourself time to fully experience the wonders of this iconic city!
